I bring a solid foundation in construction and a deep understanding of what truly defines quality craftsmanship. With years of hands-on experience, I’ve gained a practical perspective that bridges design intent, structural integrity, and real-world execution. This allows me to anticipate challenges early, optimize project efficiency, and ensure that every decision made contributes to the long-term value and sustainability of the property.
My background extends across multiple facets of construction — from collaborating with architects and engineers to managing on-site teams and overseeing finishes that elevate the final result. This blend of technical knowledge, aesthetic sensitivity, and project management expertise ensures that every recommendation I make is grounded in both vision and feasibility.

Carlos Araya-Polonio
Partner & Lead Architect
I’m a Costa Rican architect focused on the balance between contemporary design, local context, and human experience. My work is guided by creativity, precision, and a deep respect for place—values that have shaped my practice in Costa Rica and abroad.
I had the privilege of collaborating with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genoa, Italy, one of the world’s most respected architecture firms. During my time there, I contributed to internationally recognized projects including MUSE – Museo delle Scienze and the Le Albere urban development in Trento, the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.
In 2014, I was honored to serve as Co-Curator of the Costa Rican Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale—an experience that strengthened my connection to global architectural discourse and to Costa Rica’s creative identity.
I design spaces that merge artistry and function—places that tell stories, evoke emotion, and feel in harmony with their surroundings.
